Aztec Aqua Water Distributers Ltd โ under our brand Tal Aqua โ runs community water refill stations across Nairobi's informal settlements, delivering purified, certified-safe water at less than โฌ0.01 per litre โ while partnering with international clean-technology networks to scale our impact.
Aztec Aqua Water Distributers Ltd is a woman-led social enterprise making clean, safe drinking water affordable for Kenya's urban poor. Operating under our trademarked brand Tal Aqua, we run containerized water refill stations inside Nairobi's informal settlements โ with a planned transition to solar power โ providing purified, KEBS-certified water at less than โฌ0.01 per litre.
Today we operate 12 refill and distribution sites, serving hundreds of families every day with water that is clean, safe, and within walking distance. We contribute directly to SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation) while empowering women and building climate-resilient communities โ one refill station at a time.

A model built for affordability, quality, and climate resilience โ close to the communities that need it most.
We're working to transition our refill stations to solar power โ for climate-resilient, off-grid operation and a far smaller carbon footprint than diesel-powered vendors.
Every drop is purified through a double-filtration system and certified safe by the Kenya Bureau of Standards.
Purified water at less than โฌ0.01 per litre โ priced for low-income households, not premium markets.
Our reusable-container model keeps thousands of single-use plastic bottles out of the environment every month.
Over 90% of our team are women from the communities we serve โ earning fair wages and technical skills.
Stations sit inside Nairobi's informal settlements, putting safe water within walking distance of home.
Roughly 40% of Kenyans lack access to safe drinking water. In urban informal settlements, families face an impossible choice: untreated water, or bottled water priced far beyond their means. We bridge that gap.

We welcome conversations with impact investors, funders, and organisations working toward SDG 6. Together we can bring safe, affordable water within reach of every urban-poor community in Kenya.
